At Oceanhouse Media, our website(s) (www.oceanhousemedia.com, www.committo3.com, www.beautyeverywhere.com) are just for adults, while our apps are designed for the whole family, including young children with parent supervision. We take privacy seriously at Oceanhouse Media and this policy is designed to share what information we collect and how we use it. We last updated the contents of this policy on May 18th, 2018. Oceanhouse Media may change or update the Privacy Policy at any time as we add new or different features, or as the law changes. Unless another date is given, the changes are effective upon posting. If we make a material change to this policy we will post notice here. Thus, you should review the Privacy Policy frequently. This Privacy Policy is also part of the Terms of Service that explain your rights and responsibilities and Oceanhouse Media’s when using Oceanhouse Media’s services and sites. There are no third-party ads in our apps, but we do cross promote our other products. The only third party service providers we use in our apps are to support our internal operations and we do not collect anything that is personally identifiable in our apps for children.
To help us provide you with the best service, we work with third party analytics providers AppsFlyer and Facebook. Their respective Privacy Policies can be found at https://www.appsflyer.com/privacy-policy/ and https://www.facebook.com/policy.php. These companies help us to understand your use of the apps and our webpages. In association with them, we may collect your unique device identifier and IP address. We use mobile analytics software to allow us to understand the functionality of the apps on your device. This software may record information such as how often you use the apps, what happens within the apps, aggregated usage, performance data, app errors and debugging information, and where the apps were downloaded from. We do not link the information we store within the analytics software to any personally identifiable information that you submit within the mobile application.
Note: If you prefer that Facebook not have access to analytics data from our apps, please simply delete the Facebook app from your mobile device.
Also, for the purposes of managing user accounts and customer service, we work with third party service providers ActiveCampaign, Heroku and UserVoice. In association with them, we may collect and store information provided by you.
The first one is called personal data. This is personally identifiable information that identifies a user as an individual. Oceanhouse Media may collect personal data that adults voluntarily provide on the website(s), or by volunteering data via our apps. This may include first name, last name, username, email address, password and preferences.
The second type is non-personal data which doesn’t directly identify an individual or which may have been personal information, but has had the personally identifiable information removed. This may include technical data such as internet protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform and other technology on the devices you use to access this website or our apps. Oceanhouse Media may also collect non-personal information about the use of the website(s), products and apps to help us improve our services.
We collect personal data when a user subscribes to a newsletter or alert, submits content to a forum or blog, requests technical support, gives us feedback, sends an email through one of our apps or creates a user account. This data may include a name (screen or nickname), email address, mailing or shipping address and telephone number. This information may be used to provide services and the sites to you, information about new services & features and to send notifications if consent to receive them has been given.
We may use cookies and web beacons to help deliver and analyze our services (e.g., by counting the number of times a page or advert has been viewed).
Oceanhouse Media automatically receives and records information from your browser or your mobile device when you visit our websites or use our apps or use certain other services, such as your IP address or unique device identifier, cookies and data about which pages you visit in order to allow us to operate and provide the Services. Some of this information is stored in log files and is collected automatically. We may combine this information from your browser or your mobile device with other information that we or our partners collect about you, including across devices. This information is used to provide advertising, including across your devices, and a more personalized experience for you.
We may also automatically collect device-specific information when you install, access, or use our apps. This information may include information such as the hardware model, operating system information, app version, app usage and debugging information, browser information, IP address, and device identifiers.
We may receive Personal Data about you from various third parties and public sources including: Technical Data from analytics providers [such as Google based outside the EU] and our social media pages [such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn & Instagram].
As you can see, we collect minimal personal data, and some non-personal data for internal use only or in conjunction with third parties to help us operate, analyze, and improve our sites and services. In addition, we may disclose your personal or non-personal information to additional parties if we believe we are required to by law, by a judicial proceeding, to protect Oceanhouse Media’s rights and properties, or to investigate fraud, intellectual property infringement, and any other conduct that might be illegal or expose Oceanhouse Media or a user of its services to legal liability. In addition, Oceanhouse Media may disclose information in the event of a change or proposed change in the ownership of the company; for example, a sale, a merger, or bankruptcy.
We use Google Analytics Advertising Features to better understand the use of our website. We may use cookies and anonymous identifiers to collect information and help target advertising. We do not combine this information with any personally identifiable information you may have submitted when signing up to a newsletter for example. Our systems do not recognize browser “Do Not Track” signals; but, you can opt out of Google Analytics by visiting: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. You can also configure your browser to accept or reject cookies. All browsers are different so go to the help section of your browser to find out how to do this.
We may include links to third parties from our website or services. Oceanhouse Media isn’t responsible for these companies and including a link to them doesn’t mean that Oceanhouse Media endorses them. So be sure to check their privacy policies if you decide to visit them. And remember, your use of Oceanhouse Media’s sites and services may also be subject to the terms and conditions and privacy policies of other services that Oceanhouse Media doesn’t control such as mobile application stores, mobile software platforms, online social media sites, or payment processors.
We may use your Personal Data to form a view on what we think you may want or need, or what may be of interest to you. This is how we decide which products, services and offers may be relevant for you (we call this marketing). You will receive marketing communications from us if you have requested information from us or received services from us and, in each case, you have not opted out of receiving that marketing.
Oceanhouse Media uses generally accepted security measures and safeguards in an attempt to keep the data it collects secure and requires that the third parties it works with agree to do the same. The measures and safeguards include limiting access to the data to those persons who need it to complete their work for Oceanhouse Media, using a firewall protected environment, and storing personal information in secure operating environments. That said, Oceanhouse Media cannot and does not guarantee and does not accept liability for unintentional disclosure.
